Dear Neighbors,
We hope you are all safe and navigating the aftermath of last night’s intense storm. Sharing an update from the committee leading efforts to bury powerlines in our neighborhood:
From the Committee On Power Line Burying
During the summer, the committee has been collecting signatures of Chesterbrook Woods neighbors who support the idea of burying power lines to reduce the risk of power outages. To date, we have 137 signatures or about 23% of the 540 households in our directory. Many thanks to those who have signed.
What will it take to grab Dominion Energy’s attention and add Chesterbrook Woods to the list of neighborhoods asking to have their power lines buried? The committee doesn’t have a firm answer but assumes we’ll need more than 50% (270) and are hoping for 75% (405).
Request: Please visit a mailbox of an address listed below to read and sign the petition by Friday, September 18th. This provides the committee some time to determine next steps before the CWCA Fall meeting.The petitions are hanging on the mailbox in a large plastic envelope marked "Petition". If you would like to sign but are physically unable to visit one of these locations, please email Arthur directly and he will gladly assist you.

Please be assured that signing this petition is simply a show of community interest. It does not commit you or your property to the project, nor does it give Dominion permission to begin any work. We kindly ask block captains and those who’ve already signed to mention this effort and encourage others to sign.
